WebFeb 29, 2024 · I did a test and they do not attack the ocean platforms even when provoked (wood and metal are both ignored). They attack only rafts. I'm going to say probably not. To my knowledge they only target rafts specifically. However, if your raft was next to your base and they attacked, they may still damage the base trying to kill the raft.
