Your first thought would probably be to describe the ER2 as a cheaper, dynamic driver version of the ER4. And honestly, that’s not too far off.

WebI have ER2SE/ER2XR/ER3XR. I use the ER2XR most. (Great all arounder with most music in my library, especially electronic music or anything that requires bass impact.) The ER3XR second. (Very resolving, but they can sound a bit dark at times, so I use a 30ohm impedance adapter most of the time to turn them into a budget ER4XR) WebIn short, the ER2SE is voiced much like a high quality, high accuracy and decidedly full range loudspeaker, while the ER2XR is voiced much like that same loudspeaker, but with the bass dialled up to about ‘11.5’.
